For those of you who have visited or site previously, it should be quite apparent that it has undergone a major overhaul along with the address change.  Please note that our new Web site address is www.morganinternetdesign.com/family/ .  Please bookmark it in your browser and return soon.

From Toni:

We've had 5 months now of sink-or-swim experience at parenthood.  So far both of us are LOVING it.  Our little family has taken shape beautifully.  Abby is blazing a path away from infanthood toward toddlerhood.  She started rolling over from back to tummy at around 3 1/2 months and sitting unassisted at 5 months.  We just started eating rice cereal, and that's going pretty well.  (see our photo album for pictures)  Abby is scheduled to start daycare on May 15 at First Step Learning Center.  This daycare was recently bought by a young couple here in town.  Stacy, the wife, is a social worker by trade.  She and her husband are just wonderful people by everyone's accounts.  Having a daycare center is part of a plan to be able to spend more time with their own school-age children.  The ladies that work in the baby room have been with the daycare for as long as 8 years.  They also get glowing reviews from several of our close friends.  If daycare works out well, I may go back to work fulltime sooner than my original plan.  Not much else to tell right now.  We'll try and keep things updated.

Abby's Arrival
November 28 came and went without event.  Abby had her own schedule to follow.  On December 2 at 6:00 a.m. my water broke.  After a LONG day, Abigail Antonie Morgan finally entered the world at 8:05 p.m.  She is absolutely beautiful, although I'm probably biased.  Labor was tough, but I was able to make it through without any pain medication, as I had hoped.  Abby weighed 7 lbs 14.4 oz, was 20 inches long with a head circumference of 14 inches at birth.  She did very well throughout labor, never showing any signs of distress on the monitor.  Upon delivery she began breathing and crying almost instantly.  I was able to hold her on my chest immediately, which was absolutely wonderful.

Long Term Status

We are living in Gonzales, Texas.  I proposed to Toni in July 1997.  We were wed on November 15, 1997 (check out the pictures in the Photo Album).

Toni is a Certified Physician Assistant at Sievers Medical Clinic in Gonzales and at their satellite clinic in Waelder.  She has been working there since November 1996, and thoroughly enjoys her work.

I (Brad) am self-employed in my Web site design business, Morgan Internet Design.  I have been designing Web sites professionally since January 1998.  I enjoy my work and have gradually been building a fairly extensive list of clients.

Proposal

In July 1997, after Toni and I had known each other for some 5 1/2 years, and had been spending quite a bit of time together for some 3 months, I proposed.  It was quite a surprise to her.  We had been talking about marriage, but she wasn't expecting a formal proposal just yet.

On this particular Saturday she had come in to San Antonio to go to a movie with me.  I had just built a new computer and she asked to take a look at it before the movie.  As she did, I gentle guided her towards my Web site and had her click over my heart on the following picture, which was on my home page at the time.  (If you click on the right spot on the image you can see the proposal page.  Bear in mind that it was designed for 1024 x 768 resolution and was pre-downloaded when I proposed.)

A happy couple!

Toni didn't have a clue that it was a proposal, until seeing "Let's make it official".  After she made sense of it all she accepted the ring and me with it.  And, as they say, "the rest is history".
